Cache # 34.
The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is a wonderful cycling trail between Wangaratta and Bright, with a side track running from Everton Station to Beechworth. The trail is suitable for road bikes.
These are essentially caches placed for cyclists using the trail but there is generally easy parking for cars near each GZ.
** CAR DRIVERS** For this one please park well off the road as this is a very dangerous spot with the sweeping corner and crossing cyclists. You could also park on Kneebone's Road and walk to the cache.
GZ is placed near the site of the now non-existent Brookfield Siding where goods were loaded and offloaded. I have created this series so that cyclists can take a break along the way and enjoy the hunt.
The cache is a good-sized sistema container suitable for swaps and at the time of listing contained a log book, a couple of old Kenyan coins, a duck and a TB. Please bring your own PEN. Please replace carefully so that it remains well hidden.
