Geocache Description:

A lovely enjoyable walking area to spend with friends or family with views to amaze you. Good walking shoes are advised.

With the help of the Waverley Bush walking Club I would like to add another tempter to this remarkable area in the West. The Werribee Gorge State Park is known for its rugged terrain and steep slopes with amazing Geological results from eons of time. This area still remains in a relatively natural state with the noticable introduced unwanted plants from faraway lands.. The best place to start is the Meikles Point picnic area which is reached from Myers Rd in Myrniong. Take the Pentland Hills exit, turn right, drive under the Freeway, and turn left onto Pentland Hills Rd. Follow until you drive back under the highway and immediately turn left onto Myers Rd. Cache is located at the Eastern Viewpoint on the full circuit track. It could take you between to 2 – 3 hours depending if want to make it a relaxing or a speed walk. While you are here I recommend you take advantage of all the views that it offers you. As you complete to climb to the Eastern Viewpoint taking in the view you can look for the large black bison container tucked in the rocks down one level. Good quality comfortable hiking shoes are recommended to do this complete circuit
