Geocache Description:

Part of a series of caches in the Fifty Point Conservation Area. A challenge cache requires that you meet some geocaching-related accomplishment before you can log the find.

Information About the Conservation Area
Fifty Point is a beautiful 80-hectare conservation area on the south shore of Lake Ontario. It offers many family picnic areas in a natural setting while providing opportunities for bird watching, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, and many sporting activities. There are even separate beaches for people and pets! There is a stocked fishing pond (no fishing license required) with a wheelchair accessible fishing dock. For more information, visit the Fifty Point Conservation Area website.

Notes:
  • There is a fee to enter the park.
  • The park is not open at night.
  • The park entrance is at 1479 Baseline Road, Winona, Ontario ( N43° 13.010’ W079° 37.703’).
Geocaching Summary The Challenge
To log a find for this cache, you must have logged at least one find on days that add up to 50 in each calendar month. Hey, it is the “Fifty Point” series, so the number 50 seemed appropriate.

Multiple finds on the same day (for example, 2 finds on the 25th day) do not qualify. Therefore, the minimum number days that qualify in a month are two (for example, the 30th and 20th). The maximum number of days is 9 (that is, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 14th), but there are many other valid combinations.

You can claim your smiley only after you have (a) found the cache, (b) signed its log, and (c) met the challenge requirement. You can find the cache before completing the challenge; but, if you do, just sign the cache log book and post a note on the cache page. Then, after you have met the challenge requirement, you can post your “Found it”.

To verify your dates, we will check your profile's “Finds for Each Day of the Year” statistic (see Challenge 50 example).
