Geocache Description:

One of a mini series of turtle boxes containing log book and small items for swaps. The whole Nature Reserve is a muggle area, so stealth required.

Please note that the gates close at 4.30pm in Winter and 7pm in Summer time.

Also, please be aware that there may be lots of nettles and brambles. Can't be helped at certain times of the year.




Davyhulme Millenium Nature Reserve is owned and managed by North West Water/United Utilities for the conservation of wildlife and for the enjoyment of the local community, opening in the summer of 1999. Many thanks to them for their kind permission to hide caches here for our enjoyment.

It is one of the most valuable conservation sites in Greater Manchester with a large proportion of the site being designated a Site of Biological Importance. Habitats have been created through the planting of native woodland species and the creation of ponds.

Enjoy your walk and caching around the Reserve.
