Geocache Description:

The first geocache i found was placed in this location.
While out in the park with daughter noticed folks with gps'r
milling about. Knew what they were up to and decided to try this hobby as well

Many muggles walking by and in park. Careful of this.
Please replace as found to remain hidden.

A little history...
The bridge at Harbord St. was a single span concrete arch bridge that was built from 1909 to 1914.
Garrison Creek originally held native fish species (northern pike, largemouth bass, rock bass, etc...). By the 1880's the creek was so polluted that it was buried in a brick sewer.
Between 1917 and 1930 the area around the bridge was filled in.
(visit link)

Only this northern balustrade remains visible today.

If you go to bottom of paved path in Bickford Park you can hear Garrison Creek flowing through sewer grate. :(

FTF to Kurat, congrats
