Swalligator Swamp Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mudfrog: The slough that this one is in is un-navigable right now. Wading through hydrilla and swimming swampy waters is the only way to get to ground zero. That's a bit much, even for me, so I'm archiving.

Geocache Description:

We were out for a nice day of boating up the Neches when we decided to place this cache.

Should be easy except that you will have to have some form of waterborne transportation to get to ground zero. This cache is even farther out than "out there" and is an area that we always spot at least one swalligator in! Lot's of other wildlife to see on this trek as well so be sure to bring your camera and binoculars too. These include, but are not limited to,, swalligators, turtles, frogs, snakes, nutria, deer, and many species of birds.

Ground zero is a few steps from where you dock your boat. The cache itself is smallish/regular in size and houses a logbook, pen, and couple of items for trade. Watch your step as this does look like a good place to encounter wildlife that might bite.

We hope you enjoy your visit in this beautiful area,,

Goodluck!
