Geocache Description:

The cache is a black micro container slightly smaller than a film cannister. It is accessible roadside but it is not in the wall.

The roads around the site are narrow and care should be taken in choosing a parking spot. It may be safer to park in Laragh and walk the short distance back to the Church.

The cache is placed near a 19th century Church of Ireland church. It is said that it was brought back to Laragh by a mill owner and his wife from their honeymoon in Switzerland where she saw and fell in love with it.

Designed in a swiss-gothic hybrid style, the church is contructed entirely out of corrugated iron and is situated beside a small river.

It is very ornate and is a very striking building, even though it's original paint scheme has long since faded. One can only imagine what a service would have been like in heavy rain or hail.

This replaces a long archived cache of medic143, indeed much of the above text has been shamelessly plaguerised from his original cache page
