This is one of a series of caches to celebrate the Great Western Railway, affectionately known as 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This is your chance to release your inner 'anorak' and go trainspotting, feel free to wear that 'Parka' that's been hanging in the wardrobe for decades!
Luxton Steps cottages were built in the 1890's as holiday retreat's for railway workers, they were also used for convalescing soldiers recovering from the shell shock of trench warfare in World War I. Nowadays they are holiday cottages and a fine little retreat they are too! This is a really nice place and replaces the now archived 'Teign North Shore-Luxton Steps' cache, this area definitely deserves one, sit a while and take in the tranquillity.
