Geocache Description:

This can be a quick cache and dash (there is safe parking) or part of a lovely walk. The cache is a large box and easy to find. It has been placed here as the name suggests by the local Cub Pack who regularly monitor what passes through having been introduced to Geocaching by one of their young leaders. Feel free to share any trackables as the youngsters enjoy seeing where they have come from and where they have travelled on to.

The cache is a large plastic tub with clip on lid and contains logbook, pen , pencil sharpener ( PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE) and a few goodies.

Scouting has a long history and Scouting in Harpur Hill first commenced in 1911. One hundred years later the Scout Group got its own HQ thanks to a small dedicated group of people who raised the funds and moved and equipped the groups hall.

The building was recycled from the old High Peak College Campus after it closed and was kindly donated by the University of Derby.
