Anaheim Coves 8 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LavaLizard: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Anaheim Coves! **Open Dawn till Dusk (No trespassing afterwards). Tread lightly in the area! None of the caches are meant to be difficult and require maybe only a light foot off the bike path.**

Due to a lot of great reviews on the area, Wifey, Molly Dog, and I thought we should continue the Anaheim Coves trail series.

When this was placed, there was a big flock of about 8 pelicans floating around near this location. The area is a protected habitat for a variety of wildlife, in particular the many birds that live at Anaheim Coves, year round or during migration. The water and a thriving fish population provide an appealing rest stop on the Pacific Flyway, especially for fish-eaters like American white pelicans, skimmers, egrets and great blue herons. A large "Bird Island" near the basin's maintenance area has been built to encourage nesting above the changing water levels.
