randco: Again, many thanks to everyone that attended. We aren't totally sure, but we don't think we will be hosting a event next year. We have been anticipating a lengthy trip to Colorado and Wyoming. We don't think that we can plan another event and a road trip of the magnitude we expect for ourselves.

But, I guess we will see what happens.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to LMSP Geo Event 2

We had such a great time here at Lake Manatee State Park last year, we just had to do it again. Hopefully you can join us for a weekend full of events, fun caches, lots of laughs and some good food.

Admission to the park is $5.00 per vehicle with 2 to 8 people, $4.00 for single occupant vehicles and $2.00 for Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

If you want to spend a few days in the park, camping is available for $22.00 per night. If you need any further information about the park click on the Related Web Page near the top of this page.

If "camping" is not your thing, there are about 6 motels less than 10 miles from the park entrance. If you need information about the motels email me at randco09@yahoo.com.

We will be providing all beef hot dogs, hot dog buns, condiments, plastic ware, paper plates and napkins. You guys bring the side dishes.
Be sure to bring your own ice and drinks. (no alcohol)


Donations of raffle prizes will gladly be accepted and greatly appreciated.


If you plan to attend please post a Will Attend log along with the number of guests that will be coming with you and the side dish you intend to bring to share with everyone.


The Poker Run will be 5 card holdem. If you want to participate in the Poker Run please email me at randco09@yahoo.com and I will email you the rules of the game.



There will be 25 to 30 new hides this year.
The theme of the caches will be:
The top 10 Songs of the 60's, 70's and 80's

Event and Poker Run Registration     8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Caching --- 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 (noon)
Lunch --- 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
Raffle --- 1:00 p.m. til ???
Naming the winner of the Poker Run --- 3:00 p.m.
More Caching --- til whenever...
