Geocache Description:

This is the fourth cache in the 'End of the Road' sequence, which continues the theme of placement on or near abandoned roads in and around Bicester. An camouflaged cache which has a nano log, though the cache itself is somewhat larger.

** THE CACHE IS NOT INSIDE THE LIGHT SO DON'T TRY AND OPEN IT - VERY DANGEROUS!!**

This footpath / cycleway used to be part of the Bicester 'ring road' (ha ha!) and in fact was still used as a road when I moved here in 2001. The nearby road, which is much wider than the original, was built only a short time after I moved here, and finally removed this rather narrow and windy stretch of road from the route which circumnavigates the town. Nowadays its a nice wide footpath and cycleway, in an area which is also used by dog walkers, but otherwise is fairly quiet.

Onto the cache itself... Well, Wynner & AM are feeling the pinch like everyone in these tough times, and whilst thinking about making new caches have needed to improvise somewhat. This cache reflects that. I would really like to be able to claim credit for this type of cache, but sadly I can't - it's very, very similar to one we found a while back 'elsewhere' and it really tickled our fancy. Haven't seen any others like it, so I guess you could call it 'unusual'. There is no space for a writing implement, and it has a nano log only, so come prepared! Not sure how long this will last either (you'll know why when you find it), so come and get it whilst it's here. The difficulty rating appears about right to me, but if anyone really struggles or has other feedback please let me know so I can adjust it accordingly - ie be honest with DNFs ;-)

The nearby road is pretty busy, so take care when searching for this cache, although there is no need to cross over the fence onto the side nearest the road. Plenty of parking only a short walk away at the nearby retail outlets. The cache itself is accessible from the footpath.

** Well done DigitalJim on the FTF, 11 mins from publish to find is very very quick. Oh, and bad luck Spence :-D **
