Lumsden is situated in the Qu"Appelle Valley - between the confluence of the Wascana with the Qu'Appelle River on the west and Boggy Creek on the East. Take a drive into town and see what a unique town it is. Pick up a pamphlet of the "Walking Tour of Lumsden" at the town office. The Museum Heritage Park is a must to see also.
Following the scenic "Seven Bridges Road" you will find the Saw-het trail, a part of the Trans Canada Trail system. Hikers will be pleased to find an opportunity to explore the natural environment, see a variety of flora and fauna and wildlife! Take the time and hike the Saw-whet trail, which is named after the Saw-whet Owl, who are rare! They have been spotted in parts of this trail. Park at the sign and take the hike. You will even find a cache too, "Saw-het #3" (GCX2FX)
We had to place a cache in this beautiful area. There are a couple of houses here, so stealth will be required! You are looking for a camoed lock & lock. Signal could bounce around with tree coverage!
To receive your smiley, you "must" sign the "Log book"! All good cachers "always" carry a pencil and leave the cache well hidden as you found it!!
Happy Caching and enjoy this scenic area!
