Next to the mountain road, with a view of Craig Cwm-Llwyd.

There are a number of 'cyfannedd's in this locality (if you're nor familiar with Welsh, cyfannedd is pronounced roughly like cuh-van-neth, and means something like dwelling or abode). Not far to the northeast along the road is Cyfannedd Uchaf (Upper Dwelling), and to the southwest of here is the farmhouse, Cyfannedd Fawr (Big Dwelling), and about 350m from here in a straight line to the west, accessed by a track (but it's private property) is Cyfannedd Fach (pictured), which means 'Little Dwelling' and is a 250-year-old stone cottage, which was effectively a ruin in the early nineteen-sixties when it was acquired and brought back into use by George Hole. If you look at this location on Google Earth you will actually see this little cottage modelled in 3D!
The cache is placed near the mountain road.
There are opportunities to stop a car reasonably nearby, making this a fairly accessible cache, although given the remoteness of the location and the number of gates on this mountain road, you can't get here quickly from anywhere!
From here there is a view of Craig Cwm-Llwyd, the ridge on the western approach to Cader Idris. At certain points along this road wonderful views to the sea open up, allowing glimpses of the Lleyn peninsula on the horizon, and the spectacular Mawddach estuary, which lies immediately to the north of here.
The cache is a pill pot.
