You may not have to trip trap over the bridge to find the troll, if you come from the east.
Once upon a time there were three brother billy-goats whose names were Gruff, and a troll who did not like noise. The three Billy Goats wanted to trip, trap, trip, trap over the bridge (where the Troll lived), to find better grass to eat. When the Troll heard the noise, he did not like it. "Be off with you", roared the Troll. And so, off they went to find greener grass.
