Queensberry (697m) is a familiar hill to most people living in the south of scotland. It stands more or less alone with no easy hike in or out. The ground is mostly rough and boggy and after prolonged wet weather it's really boggy! The more common ways to tackle it are from mitchellslacks farm or kinnelhead farm. Either way its a trek!
The cache is a small tesco 4 clip food storer covered in khaki cloth hidden near a large boulder on the north side of the hill. To walk all this way and not find it would be a shame so the hint is a good one! The area is wild and rocky. Plenty of mountain hare to be seen and red grouse too. In summer months its been known to have the odd adder so be very careful once you get to the cache site.
