Deutsche Beschreibung:
Cala en Basset ist eine felsige Bucht (Steinstrand) am Rande der Tramuntana. Sie entstand durch Erosion (Wind und Wasser) aus dem umliegenden Gestein.
Als Teil dieses Gebirgszuges besitzt sie natürlich die gleiche Geologie und Entstehungsgeschichte, zu der es bereits mehrer Earthcaches auf dieser Insel gibt.
Aber hier in der Cala em Basset befindet sich eine Besonderheit.

90% der heutigen Oberfläche der Serra de Tramuntana bestehen aus hellem Kalkgestein, welches vornehmlich im Jura vor 180 Millionen Jahren in einem flachen Meer abgelagert wurde.
Etwas älter -aus Perm und Trias- sind Erosionsprodukte eines gewaltigen Gebirgskomplexes des Superkontinents Pangäa, der vor 300 Millionen Jahren durch die Kollision der Kontinente Laurentia und Gondwana entstand. Diese Erosionsprodukte sind meist rote Sand- und Tonsteine.

Um diesen Earthcache als Found loggen zu können, musst du zunächst zu den Listingkoordinaten bis ganz zur Wasserlinie hinab klettern, denn von oben kann man die gologische Besonderheit nicht sehen. Sei überrascht!
Bevor du loggst, sende eine E-Mail an mich, mit den Antworten zu folgenden Fragen:
1.) Welche Farbe hat das Sandgestein hier?
2.) Wie groß (Länge mal Breite mal Höhe) ist dieser Block?
3.) Welches Mineral ist für diese Färbung verantwortlich?
4.) In welche Farbe geht der Gesteinsblock an seinen Rändern über?
5.) Edit: 2.8.21: Foto von dir oder deinem GPS in der Bucht im Online-Log.>br>
Eine Logfreigabe brauchst du nicht abzuwarten, du kannst direkt NACH Versenden der Antwortmail loggen.

Cala en Basset is a rocky bay (stony beach) at the edge of the Serra de Tramuntana. It arosed from the surrounding rocks due to erosion (wind and water).
As part of the country it shares the same geology and evolution as the whole Tramuntana and some Earthcaches at this island are allready dedicated to this theme.
But here at the Cala en Basset you will find something special.

90% of the todays surface of the Serra de Tramuntana consists of light-coloured lime-rock, which sedimented 180 million years ago in flat sea.
Older -from Permian and Trias- are products of erosion from a hugh mountain of the super continent Pangäa, which evolved 300 million years ago through the collision of the continets Laurentia and Gondwana. These products of erosion consists mainly of reddish sand- or mudstones.

To log this earthcache as a Found, you have to climb down to the water front to the listing co-ordinates because you won't see the special geological feature from above. Be surprised!
Before logging send an e-mail with the awnsers to the following questions:
1.) What is the colour of the sandstone here?
2.) How big (lenght, width and height) is this rock?
3.) Which mineral is responsibel for this colour?
4.) To which colour changes the colour at the edges of this rock?
5.) Edit 2.8.21: Foto-upload of you, part of you, your GPSr... in your online-log is required (re-allowed by GC since June 2019)

You don't have to wait for log-permission, just log directly AFTER sending the mail.

Cala en Basset es una cala rocosa (playa de piedras) en el borde de la Tramuntana. Fue creado por la erosión (viento y agua) de la roca circundante.
Como parte de este cadena de montañas ella posee naturalmente la geología igual y génesis al cual hay ya unos Earthcaches en esta isla.
Pero aquí en Cala al basset em se encuentra una particularidad.

90% de la superficie de Serra de Tramuntana consiste de la clara roca de cal que era depositada sobre todo en el Jura antes de 180 millones de años en un mar plano. Un poco más viejo -de Perm y triada- son productos de erosión de un montañas tremenda del supercontinente Pangäa que se producía antes de 300 millones de años de la colisión de los continentes Laurentia y Gondwana. Estos productos de erosión son la piedra arenisca roja y las piedras de arcilla.

Para poder esto Earthcache como Found, tienes que trepar al co-ordinates hasta totalmente a la línea de agua, por lo demas no puede ver la particularidad geológica. ¡Está sorprendido!
Antes de que marcar como Found, me envía un e-mail, con las respuestas a preguntas a seguir:
1.) ¿Qué color tiene aquí la roca de arenisca?
2.) ¿Cómo a lo grande (longitud, ancho y altura) es este bloque?
3.) ¿Qué mineral es responsable de esta coloración?
4.) ¿En qué color va el bloque de roca en sus márgenes?
5.) Edit 2.8.21: Foto-upload of you, part of you, your GPSr... in your online-log is required (re-allowed by GC since June 2019)
