Geocache Description:

A multi cache in memory of a great Australian!

Following many traditional caches for Mary MacKillop it was now time for a multi-cache.

Mary MacKillop was born in Melbourne in 1842. When she was in Penola she met Julian Tenison Woods and together they opened the first St Joseph's School in 1866.
Mary MacKillop founded the Sisters of St Joseph, who have established schools all over Australia and New Zealand as well as other institutions to help the poor.

Mary MacKilop's famous saying was "Never see a need without doing something about it"
Well..... there was a need, a geochache in her honour, and something has been done about it!

This is one of many caches placed in significant locations of her story.

The location listed will take you to a plaque commemorating Mary MacKillop’s work for the poor of Adelaide.
It is here that you can find information to find the cache at S 34 AB.CDE E 138 FG.HIJ
