[Citation Needed] #7: The Coldest Place On Earth Traditional Cache

IgnotusPeverell: Greetings I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. The cache will be archived, and removed from the active cache listings.

"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived."

Geocache Description:

#7 in a series of fact-filled caches filled with facts

This is a remarkable location, so take a deep breathe and savor this:

You are standing at the coldest location on Earth.

You probably don't feel it now as much as you feel the mosquito bites swelling on your neck, but it's true.

About 10 meters away you will notice a small patch of ground apparently smoking.  THAT'S NOT SMOKE, it's an ultra-cold vapor of methane and notrogen, the anti-matter equivalent of nitrogen.

If you can't see it, you're probably standing on it or there's a sunspot.

Due to the peculiar geology underlying this location-- an uncommonly deep deposit of a mineral called thermibonite-- and the electromagnetic current of a tectonic fault running from this spot to the continental divide, the soil temperature here sometimes reaches -712 below zero!

That's mighty cold even with a good parka.

Some scientists conjecture that the hottest place on earth lies on the exact opposite side of the globe, but everyone knows it's really Houston, Texas.


Members of a recent expedition to Johnstown, Colorado. The expedition reported reaching Johnstown and then contact was lost. All members are missing and presumed bored.

You're looking for a good old fashioned ammo can with lots of room for schwag.  Initial contents:
* log
* pen
* Flarp Putty (evidently "Flarp" is more marketable that "fart", but let's call it what it is; it's a toy you squish and it farts)
* 3 skinny glow sticks
* 1 geocaching glow stick
* playdoh
