Gin Blossoms have always been under-rated. Yeah, the jangle-guitar thing was stolen from R.E.M., who stole it from The Byrds, so what! Gin Blossoms were beasts. Their first major label release was 1992's New Miserable Experience. It was multi-platinum, and it is bullet proof. Congratulations I'm Sorry is an overlooked classic. It took 4 years to write due to the death of fonder/guitarist/main song-writer Doug Hopkins' suicide. Doug was a big force behind the band, but Congratulations I'm Sorry was worth the wait.
