I understand that this cache location is transitioning back to Kyrgyzstan control- http://www.manas.afcent.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123413787. This has been so far my most popular geocache, a great pastime for some transient US military personnel. But I'll likely close this cache down once I've confirmed that the base is, in fact, a Kyrgyzstan base or civilian airport (http://voiceofrussia.com/2012_09_20/Russia-Kyrgyzstan-s-bargain-suits-both/) once and for all to comply with geocaching rules concerning such installations.
In honor of the pipe-hitting combat cachers out there, especially those taking time to and from combat zones to make some finds. I swung by here recently and found all but one of the accessible caches in the area. Coming back I decided it was time to do my part for the transients and those who support us as well. This is my favorite part of the campus- hats off to those who hit this area to run while still shaking off jetlag, and who choose to fight boredom on the trail instead of in front of a television.
