The cache is along a scenic route from Ackergill Shore. There is a small car parking area at the harbour. The views of Castles Sinclair and Girnigoe can be seen as you head to wards the cache, also Noss Head lighthouse. A small part of the route can be wet, depending on time of year and has uneven ground.
Ackergill used to have a lifeboat station, which served the increasing volume of shipping that began to pass through the area with the rise of the herring industry at nearby Wick from the mid-19th century; in poor weather, vessels often sought shelter in Sinclair's Bay.
The cache is a large Klip and Lock box in a camo bag. This one will certainly get you keyed up! There is plenty room for TB's and cache swaps.
It has a notebook, pen and pencil.
Also put in a sharpener so please leave this in the box.
