What The #$%* Is This? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

crewezer: Doing my annual spring check up on my caches today. When I reached GZ for this cache I knew something was wrong my cache hiding spot had been compromised. The bunker that it was hidden in was sealed up. The hole that you had to enter was covered with the blocks that were inside the bunker that was used as steps and a old Christmas tree and other natural debris were piled in front of hole. The hole on the top of the bunker was covered with a piece of metal and a old tire.
I pulled the tire and the metal off to see inside the bunker and my cache container was still in there but the large (200 pound) tank that the cache was hidden behind and other debris had been removed. I found the tank about 10 yards from the bunker, who ever moved it must've had a hard time getting it through that hole!
I wanted my container back so I moved the tree and pulled the blocks out of the hole and grabbed my container! I open the container and all the contents (log, swag, and a TB) were missing. What was in there place were a few bottle rockets which is ironic because the container was a WWII artillery shell holder. Also in the container there was what my wife thought were corn cob holders but she got on her face book page and people were saying it was a herb (marijuana) grinder. Think I spoiled someone's party hangout!
Also the city has cut the brush and markers have been placed. I think the city is getting ready to develop this land. I'm surprised this cache lasted this long!
This was one of my favorite caches I've hidden and I want to thank everyone who found it and wrote interesting things in there logs.

Geocache Description:

While out hunting for a place to hide a cache I found this container wedged between two tree trunks. I thought that it may have been a Geocache but I knew there weren't any published in the area. I carefully opened the container and to my surprise it was empty. Now I've made it my own. If anyone has an idea to what this container is or what it is used for, let me know! The hiding spot is a mystery so any clues to what that might be would be welcome!

To find the cache, park in the Westfield Center shopping center parking lot (Coordinates below.) Walk behind building until you see 2 large dead trees to your west (follow trails head coordinates below.) Approach the cache from that point. Your GPSr will do the rest. My kids helped me design the log book so if you can, please be creative when signing it! PLEASE place cache container back EXACTLY as you found it to avoid it being muggled!
PLEASE NO SPOILERS!
