Geocache Description:

The Hadassah hiking trail ("Shvil Hadassah") is a beautiful and well-maintained path that winds around the Hadassah Ein-Kerem Hospital campus, at the western edge of Jerusalem (visit link) . You can download a detailed map at: (visit link)

As you walk along the Hadassah hiking trail, not far from the Ein Handak spring, you will encounter a massive, 12m high wall, which seems to come out of nowhere. This wall is commonly referred to as the "Small Western Wall" ("HaKotel HaKatan") because of its massiveness and the fact that, like the Western Wall, it dates back to the Second Temple period. Some even speculate that it was built by King Herod, even though the stones of this wall are missing his signature carving along the edges. The purpose of the wall is apparently to hold back soil and form a huge terrace for growing crops along the ravine.
Don't miss the ancient steps carved into the rock, the aqueducts, and the guard's house up the path. For more information (in Hebrew), see: (visit link)

The cache is hidden inside this wall, where there seems to be a missing "brick". Please make sure to re-hide it securely and out-of-sight. You may need a flashlight. The cache container is a glass jar. I started it off with some old Israeli coins. BYOP.

Warning: The main trail leads to the bottom of the wall, though there is also a small offshoot path that leads to the top of the wall. Note that there are no signs or railings there, so be very careful if you take the offshoot. In any case, it's not necessary to go to the top of the wall, since the cache can only be accessed from the bottom.
