Redhead Tunnel on the Fernleigh Track was opened to the public on Christmas Eve 2002. 181 metres (594 feet) long, it was originally opened in 1892. The first Passenger Rail service was in 1897 and the last service was in 1971. There were several wall apertures for protection from trains if caught in the tunnel, some of which still remain.
Cache is a camouflaged Berocca container with log only, bring your own writing implement and you will need some lighting device despite the 24 hour tunnel lighting. Obviously GPS reception is non-existent in here but the description and hint should get you to GZ. You will be able to see muggles clearly in one direction and hear them coming from the other, you could pretend you are taking photographs like I did. Parking in Kinross Ave. near S32° 56.924, E151° 42.903 or Faul St. near S32° 57.157, E151° 42.980 to walk right through the tunnel. Don’t forget to bring lighting!
