Geocache Description:

An easy find just a couple of kilometres off Olympic Dam / Roxby Downs on the borefield road.

Easily accessible not only by 4WD as the road is generally in a good condition. Watch out for rain though! After you have found the cache do go on over the dune to see the gate and information board of the Arid Recovery Reserve. Ask at the Roxby Downs tourist information at Dunes Café for sunset tours and check out the webpage including a blog at http://www.aridrecovery.com Arid Recovery is a unique project that has turned an area of about 120 square kilometres into a feral free habitat for native wildlife and has reintroduced four major species: The Greater Bilby, Greater Stick Nest Rat, Burrowing Bettong and Western Barred Bandicoot. Caution: Please do not touch the fence to the reserve as it is electrified!
