Geocache Description:

Traditional cache on Malvern Common. Nice family place, bring a ball!

Malvern Common is situated at the foot of the Malvern Hills below the Wyche Cutting. It stretches down to Poolbrook Common by St Andrew's Church.

The common grass gets very long in the Summer and is home to wild flowers from May to August (please take care) although the footpaths are well trodden and easy to negotiate.

The lower part of Malvern Common is where Elgar once played golf and is a great place to play ball, fly a kite, dog walk ( please clear up any mess and take it home!), horse ride or picnic once you have finished finding the cache.

The car park is on Peachfield Road at N 52 05.697 W 002 19.037.

You then have one road to cross to get onto the part of the Common where the cache is hidden.

There is a local family friendly pub less than 15 minutes walk from the car park and the cache could be combined with Merlin, Griffin and Trinity or Wood Street caches if you fancied a longer walk.

This is first cache laid by ESHA (hopefully first of many!) and it is a small plastic tub.

November 2012 - Cache replaced after first one stolen. Small container.
