Riverside Walk Traditional Cache
Malwoden32: Cache ended up in the river and was found washed up in Newbridge on Wye. Not sure how it got into the river because it was well above the high water level. Anyway i'm archiving this cache for now.

Cache is located on the outskirts of Rhayader along a footpath by the river Wye (close to Rugby grounds). Easy level walking (with one short slope), path can be a bit muddy at times. Suitable for ALL TERRAIN pushchairs (3 wheelers). Please take care by the river as it can occasionally get very high and dangerous after heavy rain. Riverside walk starts in Water Lane by the Rugby ground (Water Lane is off West Street).
This is my favourite spot in Rhayader. I think only locals and dog walkers know about this place as most people probably drive past it on their way to the Elan Valley dams. Cache is in a 2L plastic lunch box. I have put in it A book, CD, and some children's novelty items. Look out for the locally made metal animal 'sculptures' in the trees. Plenty of picnic benches here so if weather permits do bring a picnic and enjoy this lovely spot.
