Saved by God's grace: After a nearly 8 year run, I’m afraid my first hide is going to have to go. I’ve had issues with it coming up missing for no good reason, and I’ve moved out of the area. Feels like the end of a chapter of my life in a way! Alas, life goes on, and all good things must come to an end. It’s been a good run!

Geocache Description:

Should be a fairly easy find. Parking easily available at cache location. On public property, so no need to look in someone's yard (or the tree across the road). It's a bison (the tube, not the animal)...and not necessarily so straight-forward either...you are hereby forewarned! Beware of muggles too, and please use stealth! I've had major problems with this one getting muggled...

Xplore A'dale is a series which takes you on an adventure (or several adventures for you technical people out there) through the Floridian City of Auburndale. Enjoy learning about the town's history, visit some of the busiest places in town, and some of the more obscure ones. You might even discover a few of the places that Auburndale just wouldn't be the same without! Also, be sure to watch for the clues to the final unknown/mystery cache! Enjoy your "Xploration", and keep on caching!

Ariana Beach has long been a favorite hang out and fishing spot since the early days of Auburndale. For those of you that like history, this is a quote from an advertisement about the area around Auburndale, and it includes Ariana Beach, originally known as Mac's beach.

“Here as the road curves to the left, we find Mac’s beach, owned and managed by the McDowell Bros. … Across the road are garages galore, where Lizzie can be fed, watered, and have her internal organs rejuvenated.”

Although the area has been somewhat modernized, and the “garages” have become few, the beach is still a favorite spot. On rare occasions, I'm even known to head out sailing! Enjoy!
