This cache is a small click lock box with a notepad and pen. There is a great high level view of Loch Trool from this point
To reach this cache please park at Bruce's Stone car park. You have a choice of routes - you can either go up the tourist route up the Merrick and can come down via Loch Enoch, Loch Neldricken (cache here) and Loch Valley (cache here) (allow 5-6 hours) or you can take the route 7 cycle track up to the Loch Valley/Gairland Burn sign post and take the track up the hill. Allow 1-1.5 hours for the round trip). Please take a map and compass and waterproof clothing and wear sturdy waterproof footwear as the path can be boggy in places. The path is quite obvious, but watch out later in the season as the bracken can get quite high and the path is less obvious. The cache is located at the top of the hill before turning up by the Gairland Burn. Please follow the countryside code.
