Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This salvage yard was originally born under the name Tates in 1977. Mr. Tate operated it as a body shop and auto repair business for nearly twenty years. After a period of inactivity, the shop re-opened in 1997 and was reborn as Vintage Salvage. Vintage Salvage has been a historical site in Flagstaff ever since it first opened as Tates.
This cache has been placed here a to honor Mr. Tate's business and the current operators who have breathed new life into it. Please do not block either gate when you arrive. The cache is not actually inside the salvage yard or the fence surrounding it and the private residence nearby. You will see a small area for parking within several yards of the cache. Depending on the weather and wind, you may have to wade through a pile of tumbleweeds to reach the cache, so be prepared!
Congrats to cosninocanines for his FTF!
EDIT: I HAVE REPLACED THE MISSING GEOCACHE WITH A BRAND NEW CONTAINER, NEW LOG, PENCIL, AND GIFTS FOR THE FIRST PERSON WHO FINDS THE NEW CONTAINER!
