Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden in one of my favorite spots away from the typical Kill Devil Hills tourist section of the Outer Banks.

Come and enjoy the fun of climbing around a natural area of sand and forest. You will need to climb up the edge of a sand dune from the available small parking pull off and follow a primitive path over sand to the cache hide. You should be aware of creatures that like the area too. There is the possibility of mosquitoes, ticks, snakes, spiders, and chiggers near the cache site. I've also seen deer and evidence of beavers and foxes.
The sand is remarkable here, especially along the edge of the woods. Beyond the cache you can walk west for a fairly easy hike to a nice view of the Currituck Sound, marshes, maritime forest, and distant mainland. Oh, and the sunsets here are extra special too! You can't help but end up with more than one grain of sand on your feet and a good smile!

Please replace the cache like you found it. Muggles do like the area along with the wildlife!
