Geocache Description:

I spend a lot of time on the Middle River fishing for Smallmouth Bass and wanted to dedicate a serious of caches to this wonderful area of Pictou County.

Cache should be approached from water. A boat, kayak or canoe that does not require a boat slip can be launched at the end of Sylvester Station Road. Any boats that require a boat slip can be launched just off of Pump House Road which is just off of Granton Abercrombie road. (Be sure to read notes on boat launches before attempting cache.)

Be sure to wear your PFD and make sure you have the required boating safety equipment in your vessel at all times. You can check the following link to make sure you have the required equipment. (visit link)

While you are on the water be sure to venture around the damn and check out the rest of the caches I have placed. If you have brought your fishing rod there is a very healthy population of small mouth bass here. You may see me on the water fishing. If you see a guy in a blue and white 14 foot boat catching lots of fish be sure to wave to me.
