This is a memorial to the men, women and children who worked at Birch Coppice Colliery which started production in 1824 and closed in 1987. The memorial is built fom bricks which are engraved with the names of many of the people who worked at the colliery. There is ample parking and benches to take a rest on.
This magnetic nano cache is within the surrounding memorial wall towards the back. This is the third container that I have placed here, the other 2 have gone missing. Please use stealth and don't let ANYONE see you take or replace the container. Replace it exactly where you found it. Please do not walk on the grass or garden. The cache contains a log book. You will need to bring your own pen.
