DO NOT REMOVE the front rock to access the cache - access IS AT THE REAR and PLEASE replace as found! Please bring your own pen to sign the logbook. Please take all necessary precautions when near the road. Please keep dogs on a lead due to cyclist using the trail. There is parking for one or two cars by the little wooden gate. Please don't obstruct the traffic.
In the Elan Valley, the second dam 'up-river' after Caban-coch doesn't really look like a dam at all. This is Garreg-ddu, which is sometimes called the 'submerged dam'. From the cycle trail, you can get a view across the reservoir to Nantgwylt Church. Please note: The co-ordinates jump about here due to the closeness to the water. The cache is situated on the edge of the track (on side of the water), there is NO need to leave the track, please do not climb down the bank. It is accessible from the track!
