CONGRATS Crawlin cacher and Nascarfamily5 for the ftf
I was out geocaching and having a great day until i found myself in a bit of a pickle. i was driving down the powerline road and realized my jeep lost power. I couldnt figure out what was wrong and started texting Dave from Nascarfamily5. Dave was kind enough to check some jeep forums for possible remedy's. I still couldnt find the problem, so Dave gave Jason (crawlin cacher) a call for more experienced assistance. Jason was very willing to help and drove out to where i was "goin for broke". After more trouble shooting, we still couldnt fix the problem. Jason towed me to Dale Evans Prkway where i waited for a tow truck. I greatly appreciated the help and will remeber Jason telling me that this is what geocaching is about, helping others in a jamb! So, with that, I'v hidden this cache in appreciation to Jason and Dave.
After attempting several different tests to find the problem, I gave up and took the Cherokee to a mechanic. The problem was the fuseable link connecting the fuel pump relay switch to the fuel pump. The problem may have been caused by the previous owner connecting the auxillary fan to the hot side of the relay switch system. The auxillary fan overloaded the system causing the fuseable link to go bad.
