You'll be hiking in Elsmere Canyon in the San Gabriel Mountains in the Angeles NF. You're looking for a cammo'd plastic container...be sure to re-hide better than when you found it. You're able to park (free) on Sierra Highway where the trailhead begins and you'll be hiking along Elsmere Canyon Trail. There are lots of old, rusty relics from times long ago along the road and in the canyons...you'll see some shallow caves in the hillsides, too.... enjoy the hike and the views.
