Geocache Description:

This place was just begging for a cache; it even has a big smiley on the sign. Cache is a large plastic PB jar full of swag and goodies. Perfect for TB drops/grabs. Don't let the size fool you; this is not an easy PNG. Good luck.

There are lots of muggles in this area so look around before you LOOK AROUND. Please return exactly as you found it. Enjoy the free smiley, if you can find it (add sinister laughter here).

Now for the reason I placed this cache here. I may start a series of caches called "Dirty Jobs: places I used to work" because this is the second cache I have placed in London where I used to be employed. The other, called "A Fair that was more like a Circus," is located just down the street. I worked several jobs around here during my hip teenage years, and this was one of them.

Here at the London Auto-Truck BP I worked as a maintenance man. Job duties included sweeping the gas aisles, taking out trash and prepping the showers. Whether you're curious about shower prepping or not, I'm gonna tell you about it. Truckers used to get free showers here with a fill up. This was a very popular option and some poor dumb soul was in charge of cleaning up the funk between customers. That poor dumb soul was yours truly. I won't go into detail but it was pretty freakin' nasty. Luckily I didn't stay in that position very long due to being promoted to grounds-keeper, yaaa. I found some pretty interesting stuff out there on the lot: adult mags, toys, pee jugs, drug paraphernalia and a diamond ring (bling-bling). I even befriended some homeless man who resided in the back lot who took care of several stray dogs/cats. He was kinda crazy. That was long ago and I have since moved on, but I will never forget those early career experiences.

This truck stop is awesome, by the way, and is one of the only places I know where you can get Ale-8-One on tap! The breakfast rocks too!
