Hopefully a quick grab to leave time to enjoy this lovely waterfall which is mostly concealed from the road - one of the many on this gorge road. Fall varies in size from a pretty spray and trickle to a raging noisy one depending on recent rainfall.
The cache is a 400ml non-camoed sistema containing a log, pencil, sharpener, some swaps and a TB on placement.
It is located within the bank facing the waterfall area, in a spot that should give a good view of the whole fall. It may be damp and slippery depending on the time of year, but the water is icy cold and clear at all times. Not sure if it would be safe to drink though.
Placed this cache in February just before the huge gorge slip and thought we had lost it, so couldn't publish it at that stage. Had to wait for the gorge to reopen to see and fortunately it is still safe and some distance from the damage and subsequent roadworks.
The coordinates on the day of placing and on a subsequent check were variable and showing about 10-15m accuracy.
Recommend that folks please park at the given coordinates and cross the road directly at that point away from the bend - road can be very busy and traffic moves fast at that point. Take care especially with children.
Please rehide exactly as it is placed, taking note which hidey-hole you took it from - there are other spaces that have no bases or tunnels which might swallow it!
