Geocache Description:


This railway siding was once a very busy station.. I remember it being the first stop after catching the train from Snowtown to get something to eat and drink while waiting for trains to crossover on their journeys north and south on the line... It was one of the main stations on the main railway sidings on the line between Adelaide and Pt Augusta and was also used to transport livestock to Adelaide from the area.....
The railway line is now non existent and the new express line runs through Bowmans several hundred metres to the West..
