Geocache Description:

This is another in my series of Historic Long Eaton.Be good to bring your own pen/cil
Popular dog walking area, beware.
All my caches are easy, so you can enjoy the find

You are now standing on a railway embankment, (or would be before 1968 when it was demolished).
This is the line from Sawley Junction (now Long Eaton station) to Trent station going by Forbes Hole. (you can still see the trackbed on the right footpath in Forbes Hole.)
The Queen is said to have rested overnight on this track in the royal train at sometime.
