Geocache Description:

This is a real easy walk. The paths is easy enough for wheelchairs to negotiate. Occasional muggles around, but they all walk briskly, often dragged by their dogs. Bring a pen or pencil. Wheelchair note below.

Knysna Genius
Welcome to the Knysna River, one of the most special and beautiful places to us. Every moment shared here is a complete privilege. Trust you are able to soak up and enjoy as much of the tranquillity and beauty you can and that is the most important thing about all our caches in nature.

Please treat the environment carefully looking after nature and the vegetation carefully. Try not trample any vegetation.

This area is on the flood plains of the Knysna Lagoon. It is a stunning circular walk over well laid out brick and plank walkways. Some bits is a bit overgrown, but it seems there is a clearing up process going on. Best time for a walk is at high tide late afternoon. This is a favourite bike trail. I went cycling with my son in his bike trailer on tow to scout out a spot. I stopped at a possible spot to scout out hide possibilities, and right there I saw the perfect place for it. No need to prepare or search further. It was my quickest hide ever since I quite by accident stopped right on top of the perfect spot.

The cache is almost in the middle of the bridge. It is above the pillar. Please put the rubber plug back - no one likes soaked logs. There is no more place for trade-ables or pencil.

Driving directions: At the turn-off from Rexford drive, follow the dirt road for about 100m. The track start on your right. You can park there and move anti-clockwise along the path. The path follow a circular route and end at the bottom of the dirt road. If you prefer, drive all the way to the fence and enter through the zig zag gate.

Note to wheelchair users: I cycle this track with a bike trailer in tow and used a stroller in the past. Only the furtherest bits of the path is a bit overgrown at time of writing. There is fairly wide plank bridges with no rails, so if you feel uncomfortable, do not attempt it. The path have those funny zig zag fence entrances at one end, so you may have to retrace your step. The cache is itself is not accessible to a person in a wheelchair, but with a keen eye you should be able to spot it.

Please Bring your own pen or pencil.

Trust that you really enjoy the cache and the environment and the peacefulness.
