When I placed this one it indeed was the only one in the area and the name fit to some degree. It's one of many now, which I'm very pleased about.
This cache has been placed in a quiet location along the Ridge Trail on the Nail Can Hill network of walking and bike trails in West Albury.
The beauty of this spot is that it is serene, has great views of all around Albury/Wodonga and is in a spot virtually untouched by people (bushfire excepted).
If it is a nice reflective space you seek where you can hear yourself think, without the background noise of normal life clogging your senses, this is it!. Isolation...for an hour or two at least!
The cache lies just off the main track in a spot between the Corby Trail and Gorge Trail junctions with the Ridge Trail.
There are many ways to reach this little piece of heaven, but probably the three most practical ways are:
1) Joining the Ridge Trail at Centaur Road;
2) Starting off on the Range Road Trail (end of Range Rd) and then at its terminus joining the Ridge Trail; or
3) Starting off on the Davies Trail (access via the end of Davies St., or the Crematorium) and then at its end joining the Ridge Trail.
*If you decide to take the last option, the co-ordinates for the start of the trail are listed below. At this spot, please take time to read the small plaque on the gate relating to 'Sundance', a touching moment.
Regardless of what path you take, the trip will be arduous and so it will not be for the faint-hearted (my apologies, Curly and I are on a fitness kick).
The cache is my typical 200mL Sistema container with room for a logbook, pencil, and some small swaps.
