Pencalenick Diamonds Cache 2
Enter the drive to Pencalenick school via St Clements. Before you get to the school there will be a gate to your left with space for parking at N 50 16.187 W 5 00.842
Go through this gate and follow the path.
A nice walk down a nice path, maybe a bit too tricky with a buggy and can sometimes be wet and muddy.
This is our school's second cache and is placed in another histoical location connected with the school and grounds.
You will walk along an old path which takes you over Devils Arch bridge. This path used to be the old driveway to the Pencalenick Estate, at the other end the path leads out to Pencalenick Lodge the thatched house which you can see from the A390.
The cache site is in a wooded location where a number of trees have been carved with peoples names and dates, one of these carvings in particular was made by an American soldier in 1943. H. Uffleman. Can you find it?
Once you have located the cache it's worth while carrying on along the path to have a look at another histiorical part of the schools history, one which remains a monumental mystery! We have no evidence of what it is and why its here!....Can you help to solve the mystery?
The cache itself contains information on this part of the school (please leave in cache) and also a 'one hunded baisa' note for the FTF
We hope you enjoy this cache as much as the first!
Pencalenick School ICT students.
**As before please do not tresspass onto Pencalencik School grounds. Thankyou.**
