The Western Maryland Railway was an American Class I railroad which operated in Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. It was primarily a coal hauling and freight railroad, with a small passenger train operation. The WM became part of the Chessie System in 1973 and ceased operating its lines in 1983 when it was merged into the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The B&O itself was then merged into C&O on August 31, 1987 before the C&O merged with the Seaboard System Railroad to legally form CSX Transportation on September 2, 1987.
The Ridgeley Yard of the Western Maryland was a part of the Thomas Subdivision.
The Thomas Subdivision started at the Western Maryland Train Station at Cumberland and ran to the Passenger station in Harrison, West Virginia.
These yards were used for Classification purposes of freight and housed a Car repair facility as well. The majority of tracks have been removed but the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad has put the tracks left to good use.

Your search for this Regular cache will give you a good view of the Entrance to the Ridgeley yards as well as a view of the shops. This cache is located outside the fence of the WMSR and should be easily retrieved once found. It is hidden well but easily retrieved.
Cache Contents include, Great SWAG, Log sheets and a Writing Utensil
Parking is provided not far from the GZ, Stealth will depend on the day and time of your hunt but will be required as Muggles can come and go at any time.
