Museum Piece Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Royal Oak: Hi

I notice that this cache appears to have been unavailable for some time now. Would the owner please check this cache and carry out the necessary maintenance or give an indication of when it may be sorted out. Otherwise it should be archived. If there is no response (eg cache checked and an Owner Maintenance Log, note on the cache page or an email direct to me) after 20 days I may archive the cache, in the meantime I am disabling it. If you send me an email, you must also put a suitable note on the cache page, so other cachers know what is happening.

If maintenance is not possible at the present time, please put a note on the cache and it will not be archived. If you do nothing it may be archived.

Guidelines: "As the cache owner, you are also responsible for physically checking your cache periodically, and especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Many thanks,

Regards

Geocache Description:

Cache placed with kind permission of the Museum but is available on the roadside, drive-by but watch out for car transporters on this narrow road.
Bring your own pen.

Solway Aviation Museum is home to a collection of aircraft, aviation artefacts and displays reflecting Britain's position as a world leader in aircraft design and innovation at the dawn of the jet age.
Take a journey back to wartime Cumberland and the men and women of the RAF who served in WW11.
Discover Britain's part in the Space Race and the story behind the testing of the ill-fated British space rocket program. The very poplar Bluestreak room displays photographs, parts and equipment, plus as interactive touch screen display where you can discover what went on at Spadeadam, which is just off the main road past Brampton on the way to Newcastle.
Take the opportunity to visit the cockpit and crew area of the mighty Vulcan Bomber and sit on the flight deck high above the ground on days when the Museum is open.
