This is a small cache which is accessible from the Lakeside Way (north) or as a cache and dash. The difficulty/terrain are based on access from the Lakeside Way as there is a small amount of scrambling involved.
This is a great spot to sit and admire the view of Bakethin – the conservation part of Kielder Water. At the time of placing the cache a buzzard was wheeling overhead, and various small birds such as crossbills, siskins, and chaffinches were darting from tree to tree. A lovely place to sit for a while before heading on to one of the other caches in the area!
The cache is a small click and lock tupperware box. When placed, it has a few things for the geokids, and a brand new travel bug, as well as the logbook, a pencil and a pencil sharpener. Please could you make sure you replace the cache and hide it carefully, as otherwise it could be very easily muggled!
