”We squirrels have been given a bad rap. We find it repulsive that we get blamed for SO MANY cache burglaries. In fact, it seems that every time a cache appears missing, you humans ALWAYS seem to blame us squirrels. Yes, I know, we do tend to make a mess of your birdfeeders. And, yes we do give you fits when we freeze in the middle of the road while you are driving. But, let’s be realistic people….we are not blood-thirsty criminals! So, in an effort to get back on you humans’ good sides, we have created this series. We hope that with each cache find, you will find it in your human heart to forgive us and offer us a SQUIRREL’S REDEMPTION .”

This particular cache we call TREASURE CHEST . It should be a fairly easy find and a great place to drop off or swap travel bugs. This area provides a wonderful spot for our squirrel family to enjoy munching on a smorgasbord of delicious nuts.
