This cache is on State Gamelands 34. It is part of the Mosquito Creek restoration program and includes two man made duck marshes. The day I set the cache out I saw a beaver, geese & ducks, a turkey and tons of wild elk sign. Wear orange during hunting season and watch for snakes. You will park at the Earth Cache GC1WHY5 and be very near "Got Hummer" GC3FRET. Enjoy the trail
This cache is part of the Clearfield County 2012 Geotrail. It features parks and places of recreational activity. Clearfield County is blessed with many opportunities to enjoy yourself in your “off” time. The county is part of the Pennsylvania Wilds, home to millions of acres of unspoiled forests and mountains for hiking, fishing, biking or just watching the wildlife (www.pawilds.com). In addition to hiking and biking Clearfield County features camping, hunting, golfing and the lists goes on. Enjoy a day with the kids at one of the many parks found in our large and small communities. Each cache contains a unique self inking stamp to use in your CCGT passport book. Once you obtain and stamp your passport with 25 finds your passport can be validated for our commemorative coin. Please be respectful of property owners and only cache from dawn to dusk. Visit www.visitclearfieldcounty.org/outdoors/geotrail for information on where to obtain your passport and how to validate your book to receive your coin.
When the coins for a CCGT trail are gone, that trail will be archived.
