If you are a baby boomer who lived in this area, you may remember when you could drive your car all the way through Burnhams Hollow. Now you may see mountain bikes, horseback riders, bird watchers, and fishermen; also snowmobiles and cross country skiers in the winter but no more cars.
There is room for some small trade items and there is a compass zipper pull for first to find.
As part of the Canadaway Creek Wildlife Management Area, there is no need to enter private property. This is a popular hunting area so be sure to wear orange during hunting season. Spring turkey season in May runs from dawn to noon. Permission from DEC has been received for placement in the WMA.
